The Philippine Army civilian employees engage in a health and wellness activity (through Zumba dance) at HPA Grandstand as part of the 116th Civil Service Commission celebration. Ms Regine Tolentino, a well-known actress of Unang Hirit and Better Home Ideas, leads the Army personnel in different body movements to the beat of different music.

PINNING OF BADGE.

COL THOMAS R SEDANO JR, CMOG Commander pins the Public Affairs Badge to Indonesian Army Officer who graduated from the Public Affairs Course at the Civil – Military Operations School (CMOS) during the Closing Ceremony, August 30. Three among the 145 who successful completed at least one of the four courses offered – Civil Affairs Course Class 18 – 16, Information Support Affairs Course Class 62 -16, Public Affairs Course Class 30 -16 and Information Support Affairs Officers Correspondence Course Class 17 -16 were from Southeast Asian Armies. CMOS continuously trains AFP, personnel and members of Southeast Asian Armies, to produce more CMO professionals and maintain our robust relationship with the rest of the Armies in Southeast Asia.

NEW CMOG FAMILY MEMBERS

Sgt Juan and Sgt Juana are the latest additional to the Civil-military Operations Group’s family. These two mascots symbolize the identifying characters who will embody the aspirations of a transformed Philippine Amy. This innovative project, among with others was launched formally during CMOG’s fellowship dinner August 25 held at Ricarte Hall, PA Officers Club- house. The two mascots who will be rearing Battle Dress Attire (BDA) could be utilized in audience inviting CMO activities as they can walk, dance, run and sways.

GIVING BACK TO MOTHER NATURE.

Officers and enlisted personnel of Philippine Army’s Civil Military Operations Group engage in massive tree planting activity to celebrate the 63rd Founding Anniversary of the unit. The greening activity is the Groups; way of taking care and giving back to mother nature through environmental concern. A total of 1,000 seedlings have been planted at the vacant and idle land inside the Viterans Outpatient Western Bicutan.

MGen Lysander A Suerte, 5th Infantry Division Commander

MGen Lysander A Suerte, 5th Infantry Division Commander, exhorts Civil-Military Operations Group personnel to continue doing their tasks and exemplify the importance of CMO in attaining peace. Suerte is the first commander of CMOG of and he pays a farewell visit to this unit before he retires from the military service on 22nd day of August.

REAFFIRMATION OF COMMITMENT.

Philippine Army soldiers led by the Assistant Chief, Army Human Rights Office, Col Alfredo P Patarata, take their oath of reaffirmation to commit and support the International Humanitarian Law, during the Monday flag raising ceremony which highlighted the 67th International Humanitarian (IHL) Month August 8. This year’s theme centers on “IHL: Mga Aral ng Nakaraan, Hamon sa Kasalukuyan.” In the speech of Army Chief Lt Gen Eduardo M Año read by Army Chief of Staff Brig Gen Robert M Arevalo, he emphasized that if there is one lesson that could be gained in the yearly commemoration of IHL, it is “the message of hope, IHL gives us all a glimmer of hope that decency will prevail in the midst of chaos.”

Aimed to tap the creative sides of our men and women in uniform, the Armed Forces & Police Mutual benefit Association, Inc (AFMBAI’s 49th Anniversary Photo Contest
The contest is for all regular member of the association who shall submit a photo relative to the AFPMBAI anniversary Theme “AFPMBAI: Tumutulong, Tumutugon, Matatag sa lahat ng Panahon.” Prizes at stake are: P10,000.00 for the first prize; P7,000.00 for the second prize; and P5,000.00 for the third prize. Consolation prizes of P1,000.00 each will be given to seven (7) winners.
We would like to encourage the men and women in uniform to join in this contest. Deadline of submission of entries is August 15 2014.
