FORT BONIFACIO, Taguig City – Members of the Philippine Army and other Armed Forces of the Philippines’ major services should grab the opportunities to avail promo, discounts, privileges and other similar offerings on purchases made and services availed from 23 participating merchants under Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA), Fort Bonifacio Development Center (FBDC), and Station Square East Commercial Corporation (Market Market), Ayala Malls and Serendra.
According to Colonel Thomas R Sedano Jr, Group Commander of the Army’s Civil-Military Operations Group, the “Sundalo ko, Bayani ko” Project is a joint corporate social responsibility of above cited organizations which have partnered with the Philippine Army in pursing the value of Filipino patriotism.
Aside from AFP personnel, retired military personnel, veterans, and dependents could also avail of these economic benefits. Beneficiaries of the project shall only present a valid AFP identification card to avail of the benefits. However, privileges cannot be used in conjunction with any discount cards, like senior citizen cards.
The soldiers and their dependents can make their purchases on participating establishments with displayed logo stickers at the store doors.
The project was started two years ago by the BCDA and its development partners and locators in Bonifacio Global City (BGC) with the aim of honoring and recognizing the heroic deeds of the country’s defenders by making available economic benefits such as “Sundalo ko, Bayani ko” project within BGC.
BGC is located at Fort Bonifacio, home of the Philippine Army, and other AFP units as mandated by R.A.7272. BCDA has successfully transformed the area into a booming urban district in partnership with FBDC- composed of Ayala Land Inc. and Campos Group consortium.
Colonel Sedano further said the project will develop a sense of belongingness among military personnel and enable them to feel part of the success of the transformation of their former military camp into productive economic districts.
Interested military personnel and dependents can visit the official website of the BCDA (www.bcda.gov.ph) for complete list of participating merchants.
The promo offers end on March 31, 2017.
