Boodle fight for 500 Soldiers; Lions World Relay Event

FORT RAMON MAGSAYSAY, Nueva Ecija – A joint activity by the 7th Infantry (Kaugnay) Division under the leadership of Brig Gen Glorioso V Miranda, Commander 7ID and Ms. Jing Valmonte Fernando, President, Nueva Ecija Cardinals Lions Club feeding six hundred twenty five (625) personnel from this Command and tenant/post units in connection with the Lions World Lunch Relay Event on today (April 04, 2014) held at 7ID Grandstand.

The Philippines is a nation built by heroes; extending a helping hand to those in need comes innately to every Filipino. This is the principle that fuels the Lions Club, which continues to be a formidable force of compassion and generosity in humanity’s pursuit of transformation.

Indeed, the collective’s narrative of hope and optimism of Lion’s Club is an inspiring story shared by those you have empowered through your socio-civic endeavors. The Command is grateful for your unceasing efforts to uplift the spirits of our countrymen.

A simple program was held before the start of the activity highlighted by Mr Spyro Marco, the Ultimate Talentadong Pinoy Champion 2013, who entertained the soldiers and other visitors with his “yoyo” exhibition. Col Amuerfino K Datu, the Assistant Chief of Staff for CEIS, G6 gave a simple message to formally start the activity.

“Heroism is ingrained in the social consciousness of the7ID Troopers, and we thank you for impressing this virtue among your members. Once again, thank you to Lion’s Club of Nueva Ecija headed by Ms. Jing Fernando for feeding a total of 625 soldiers and for promoting 7thy Infantry (KAUGNAY) Division as one of the tourist destination here in Nueva Ecija. Together, let us craft the legacy of a fully revitalized 7ID and create a profound difference in the lives of the Kaugnay Troops.” Col Datu said in his message.
